(UPDATE) Guidelines for Debris Removal

The Public Works Department has established the following guidelines as applicable to the type of property for the debris removal response within the Town of Ponce Inlet.

Single-family residences along the county-maintained portion of South Atlantic Avenue from the town line to Beach Street will be completed by Volusia County contractors, due to Atlantic Avenue being a County Road. Volusia County contractors have begun efforts along Atlantic Avenue should be in Ponce Inlet beginning on Thursday, October 13th.

Single-family residences within Las Olas and on Bounty Lane will receive pickup from WastePro under a separate contract of the towns in the coming weeks (due to them being private roads).

For all other single-family residences in Ponce Inlet, loose vegetative debris removal has begun as of Monday, October 10th

Please make sure that debris is placed in the right-of-way and clear of overhead & ground level obstructions to allow the contractors to use grappling equipment for pick up. Do Not Mix Bagged yard debris or any construction debris with loose piles of debris!

Bagged and canned yard debris for single-family homes in Ponce Inlet will be removed by Waste Pro every Wednesday, as per their regular schedule, and will be limited to 5 bags per pick up weekly to allow for the trucks to make a full run through the town.

Debris removal townwide can be expected to take as long as 4 weeks for completion.

Commercial and multi-family units are required to contract the debris removal company of their determination to remove their storm debris. Individual federal assistance may be available.
